OXO Good Grips Upright Sweep Set

Works great on tile and/or Pergo flooring to get tracked cat litter!
That's why I bought it. Just about any cat tracks some litter out of the box and we have 2 huge litter boxes and a multi-cat home. I don't always feel like getting the vacuum, even the Dyson hand-held one. Obviously this does not work on carpet/throw rugs, but it is perfect for a smooth surface. I can quickly sweep up the loose litter!

Works great, too, in the kitchen for crumbs on the floor after my husband has gotten cereal/made a sandwich/grabbed some potato chips...maybe we need a dog, too, to be a crumbcatcher :)

The OXO Sweep Set has it's limitations, but it's a great set for a quick, small job!

Lobby Broom set - A little flashy but it works!
I already owned the previous model of this broom set and this version corrects the major issue that I experienced previously. The red "teeth" do work to comb out the dust bunnies. If you have pets or long haired people who shed, this is invaluable. Without the teeth, it was difficult to get the dust bunnies to stay in the dust pan while I finished sweeping. It is also slightly sturdier than the previous version.

I notice that a lot of people complained about the size of the previous version - which is the same as this one. It is a standard size for what is called a lobby broom. It is designed to stand unobtrusively in a closet or corner and be available for small quick clean up tasks. I have a small uncarpeted area in my house and this works perfectly.

The only defect is that the color has been changed and the teeth are bright contrasting red. So I don't want it standing out in the open and have to hide it in the closet. Anyway, it's great to have a...

Nice but small
This broom & dustpan set has a small broom and a dustpan with an upright handle. There is a clip to hold the 2 pieces together, which makes for easy storage. They are light & convenient. The broom sweeps effectively and the rubber edge on the dustpan keep stuff from being swept under it, quite well. But the handle on the broom is very short (and I am not), which makes it awkward to use. So in sum, it does its job & is probably fine for a smaller person. But for me (at 5'8") it needs a longer handle.

OXO Good Grips Little Dustpan and Brush Set

Good things come in small packages...
I love OXO. They continue to deliver smart and well designed household products, and this little broom and dust pan is no exception. There are so many things to love about this little set - and just to be clear, it IS a VERY LITTLE set, which is a quality I actually enjoy very much about the product. It is large enough to do the job of sweeping up the endless messes our toddler leaves around the house, but it doesn't take up much space in our already cluttered cleaning cabinet. I love that the "dustpan" is a bucket: since so many of our messes end up all over the house, the bucket feature insures that the crumbs will stay in the dustpan in the journey of walking from a living room snack mess to the kitchen garbage bin. Other regular dustpans can be so annoying when you sweep a mess into them, only to have the mess blow out all over the floor again before you even make it to the garbage bin - you wan't have that problem with this OXO product, guaranteed. The bin is a few inches...

OXO always a good product
The brush is egonomically perfect. The bristles are tight, plentiful and cover a wide swath. The container has a lip into which the brush snaps into place. It is easy to use. What else can I say.

Cute and practical
I love the way the broom tucks into the dustpan, making it convenient (and clean!) for storage. I might have liked an easier way to be able to hook it on to something, but as is it's perfect for storing near the cat litter box - after I empty it, it's extremely easy to sweep up the litter that the cat has tracked all over the place and I no longer need to make a production of getting the broom/dustpan/vacuum out.

OXO Good Grips Measuring Cup for Sticky Stuff, 2 Cup

great gift idea
I bought this for my mom because she used one at someone else's house. The other one was by pampered chef, but we decided that we liked this one much more. The rubber seal is the best feature and it is not available in other versions that I found online.

OXO Good Grips 2 cup adjustable measuring cup
I have used this OXO Good Grips 2 Cup adjustable measuring cup for a while in my kitchen and I like it well enough. Getting the measurements to stay lined up exactly can be difficult because the clear cup can be pushed down a little too easily. It is good for measuring wet or dry ingredients. Dry / solids get filled to the top whereas liquids have a fill line. Measurements are in cups, ounces, liters and milliliters in red ink on a clear rotating cup. The grip at the base keeps the cup from slipping from your hands. It comes apart for easy cleaning.

Excellent measuring device
This has been excellent for measuring larger amounts of liquids for my gardening projects. Very impressed that it pushes the oil up out of the cup as advertised. Recommend.

OXO Good Grips Cookie Press with Disk Storage Case

Well Glory Be! FINALLY!

The best cookie press I've used
I love this cookie press. I bought it to replace one I had for about 10 years that was always a pain to use. There was a high fail rate, and the press would rock as I was trying to put the cookies down. With my new Oxo, the only cookie fails I had was with the first one or two cookies each time I refilled the cylinder. Each cookie after that came out perfectly. And the silicone on the bottom of the press kept the press firmly on the sheet as I was pressing out the cookies. I love the little plastic container that holds the discs. With my old press, the discs were always in a heap in the baggie I stored them in, but with the Oxo, they're neat and organized. I also like that this press has cookie shapes that are not seasonal -- fleur d'lys, daisy, butterfly, etc., which will certainly encourage me to use it at times other than Christmas. As opposed to another reviewer, I did not find the cookies small at all; I do not like big cookies and find these to be the perfect size. I...

new designs
I tried the Good Grips cookie press using the chocolate shortbread cookie recipe in the instrucion manual. The manual is easy to understand and includes three recipes and two variations in all. The recipes did not include any hard to find ingredients, were simple, and easy to follow. The design disks included are snowflake, heart, buttercup, shell, wreath, tree, sunflower, daisy, fleur de lis, bear, leaf, and butterfly. I used the shell, buttercup, fleur de lis, bear, and butterly disks. They all worked well with the exception of the butterfly disk. The dough seemed to stick to the bottom of the cookie press and not release well using the butterfly disk. I loved the other disks so much, I consider this a small issue.

The quality of the disks were very nice and stainless steel, not as thin as the disk set that came with my previous cookie press and I did not have any issues with warping. The barrel of the cookie press is a thick plastic material that is listed as BPA free. I...

OXO Good Grips Chop and Pour Cutting Board

Chop and Pour Cutting Board
OXO Good Grips nifty Chop and Pour board is a handy little board to have around the kitchen. I didn't think that the curved sides and corner "spout" would make much of a difference (I actually thought that the raised sides might get in the way) - but they really are great features! Only two sides of the board have a curved lip to keep food from sliding off - the other two sides have non-slip edges to keep the board from sliding around on your counter while you are working. The curved edges are a big help when you are trying to push chopped veggies (or whatever) off the board into a pan (or whatever) - everything goes where it should. The 13.5" x 10.5" size is good for most kitchen jobs, and it fits easily in the dishwasher (it says "top rack only" on the instructions, but I've been putting it on the bottom of my Miele dishwasher with no problems or damage). I'll definitely get more of these!

Chop, Chop
I'm not the fastest Amazon Vine reviewer simply because I put the products I order through an extensive testing period. I have been slicing and dicing on this board for almost 2 months now, and can highly recommend it for your kitchen.

The slightly raised edges of adjoining sides yield to a sloped funnel-like opening for guiding the food onto plates or into pans without a mess or fuss. The flush profile of the opposite rubberized sides allow for a flat cutting surface while also offering easy gripping of this lightweight platter when transferring the prepared food to other containers.

It's a sensible and versatile design. Cut veggies like tomatoes can be held in place by the raised sides while the funnel opening drains off the juices and seeds.

The board is dishwasher safe and mine has withstood dozens of hand and machine washings while retaining is milky white surface. A stained cutting board is disgusting, but I was impressed by the clean surface...

The cutting edge
So much satisfaction from a cutting board: aesthetically pleasing, light-weight, and well-designed with two of four edges curled in order to direct that which one has chopped or minced into the pan and not onto the floor. It doesn't slide on the counter, and those same up-turned edges keep onion shards from flying across the counter. I can easily lift board plus contents with the (unfortunately arthritic) left hand without wavering, allowing smooth transport across the kitchen to the stove-top.

Good Grips indeed, highly recommended.

OXO Good Grips 3-Piece Flip Lock Glass Container Set, Black

Perfect!
I am using these to store dry herbs for herbal sachets. They are simple and attractive and you can open them with one hand. They are also air-tight. They add interest to my office without being obvious. I love them.

Oxo cylinder containers
Oxo had some wonderful glass rectangular and square containers that easily stacked and stored in cupboards. The round shapes don't hold as much and are not as easily stored. They have rectangular ones in plastic but not glass any longer.

Great storage jars.
These are very nice! Look good, and the lids are easy on and off. They also provide a positive seal. The only worry is that the glass jars may get broken. So, handle with care!

OXO Good Grips 9-Piece Nesting Bowls and Colanders Set, Yellow/Orange/Red

Good function, quality, appearance - one flaw *UPDATE 10/08/2013)
I received my set of nesting bowls and colanders just in time for serious strawberry season. I love being able to rinse the berries in a colander then put the colander it its pairing bowl to drain and store in the fridge. I have also used them for rinsing lettuce, then making a salad right in the colander. No more putting a colander on a different sized plate to catch dripping water! taking up more space in the fridge or table than needed.

Here are my key Pros and two FYIs:

Pros:
* 3 convenient bowl sizes (5.5 quart, 3 quart, 1.5 quart) in 3 different colors, making it super easy to grab matching pieces
* easy to stack pieces, both in the cabinet and in the fridge with lids on
* well balanced bowls with non-slip bottoms
* bowls and colanders are dishwasher safe (see associated FYI below)
* light weight, yet sturdy, plastic(?) material & bowls have tight fitting lids, making them perfect for travel and fridge storage (see con & fyi...

Built like a travel mug, not really arthritis-friendly
I really do appreciate Oxo stuff - the company was founded to make kitchen equipment that is usable for people with grip and strength issues (nice, grippy, cushy handles), but they still manage to design things that don't look like an orthopedic shoe. This set, however, is a mixed bag.

- BOWLS - the bowls are, for want of a better term, built like a plastic travel mug. That is to say, they are two ply, with a colored layer outside, a white layer inside, a gap between the two layers, and a seam around the rim. The seam is a little rough, which may be a crud-trap issue, but it's slightly to the outside, which mitigates. The bowls have a nice heft to them, and a silicone bit on the bottom to keep them from sliding around, but no handles, which isn't really arthritis-friendly. My medium-sized bowl also had some divots and some small round bumps in the bottom, looking very much like the plastic pellet stock wasn't fully melted before the bowl was molded.

- COLANDERS...

Much sturdier than they look, covers are great, they work wonderfully!
I love colanders and have quite a few laying around in a more decorative fashion. I'm a little crazy like that. So when I saw these in the bright colors - no way for me to not get them! The three sizes are perfect for most of your needs. The large one is great for regular pasta and other large items (lettuce, kale, etc). It has solid handles and does not slip. It is sturdy and there is no problem with it bending or being hard to manage because it is thin. That was a problem with my last, admittedly cheap, set. The bowls are just as sturdy as the rest of them and the covers fit perfectly. Great for just covering and throwing in the fridge. Their footprint is pretty small considering all that you get - although the covers have to go on top as they do not fit on the bowls with the colander in it. These wash up nicely as well and have no strange plastic smell. A huge win - three makes it easy to assure you'll always have the right equipment when you need it!

OXO Good Grips Over The Door Stainless Steel Rack

An item to create space.
The Good Grips Over the Door Stainless Steel Rack is a handy device to have.

The item recently arrived in the mail and I was immediately impressed with the packaging.

This is an excellent home or travel companion. It is sturdy and can be hung over closet doors, on laundry room doors or used in a mud room.

I remember going on vacations where we rented a cabin and the closets all seemed to be so small. The rack could be hung outside of a closet for vacation items such as damp bathing suits or beach towels.

This can be used for hanging jackets, hats or purses so would be ideal when entertaning guests and you don't want to squeeze their clothes with those in your closet.

The non slip hooks hold the items securly so they won't be slipping onto the floor.

It also has a flexible opening that adjusts automatically to fit all door sizes.

Quality Closet Hardware
Over the years one thing is sure about closet hardware. There are a few good solutions and a whole lot of bad ones out there. Fortunately this Oxo door rack is one of the good ones. This stainless steel bodied rack measures in at 3.6" x 19.2" x 10.6" and features five padded hooks. Scuffing is zilch because this flex fit rack is outfitted with silicone contact points. Unlike other over the door racks that I've purchased, this product does not slide and bang against the door. Thanks to the padded hooks, I've had absolutely no problems with garments or hats slipping off and falling to the floor. Unlike the cheapies out there, I've had no issues with opening or closing the closet door. This Oxo product is a welcome closet tool that I use and can easily recommend.

I could use one in every room!
This is a very nice and sturdy rack, I use it in the bathroom for additional towels and robes and its very handy during hectic mornings when I'm trying to keep my clothes near me but nowhere near wet spots like the sink, it's very helpful to have something you can move and put on any door, it can hold various items, not just clothing. It's great for bags or backpacks, even umbrellas in a pinch.

Oxo is definitely a good, dependable brand; I'm always pleased with the quality and performance of all their products.
