Great coffee pot
I purchased this coffee pot for myself from Target. I loved it and so did my mom when she stayed with us after my son was born. I decided to buy her one as a gift, but I was unable to find this pot in stores. I was so excited when I found it online.
This pot makes 14 cups of coffee, 2 more than most pots. It keeps it warm for a long time. My only problem is setting the auto brew is not as simple as it is described in the manual. I have to completely reset it each night.
Way better than the previous model
Owned the previous version of this model (KVM222). Heavy usage for two years (at least two pots a day). Nice but had flaws. This new model is definitely better. The digital display is brighter and easier to program. Now has a push button operated spring loaded brew basket door. Carafe no longer has the plastic ring all the way around the lip. Now pours drip free. Water tank and coffee filter basket have also been improved. Makes great coffee!
It's Not Auto Brew!
This coffee maker makes a great cup of coffee, but so do many other coffee makers on the market at this price. At first I thought that it was user error, but after 4 nights of following the directions and having to reset the Auto Brew ever night to have it come on the next morning I gave up. I called Kitchen Aid the next day only to find out that their directions were misprinted and you DO HAVE TO RESET THE AUTO BREW EVERY DAY TO MAKE IT WORK. I returned the coffee maker. My new one sets with the flip of a switch every night. Time Saved and equally excellent coffee and beautiful red coffee maker. Happy Me.
