OXO Good Grips Chop and Pour Cutting Board

Chop and Pour Cutting Board
OXO Good Grips nifty Chop and Pour board is a handy little board to have around the kitchen. I didn't think that the curved sides and corner "spout" would make much of a difference (I actually thought that the raised sides might get in the way) - but they really are great features! Only two sides of the board have a curved lip to keep food from sliding off - the other two sides have non-slip edges to keep the board from sliding around on your counter while you are working. The curved edges are a big help when you are trying to push chopped veggies (or whatever) off the board into a pan (or whatever) - everything goes where it should. The 13.5" x 10.5" size is good for most kitchen jobs, and it fits easily in the dishwasher (it says "top rack only" on the instructions, but I've been putting it on the bottom of my Miele dishwasher with no problems or damage). I'll definitely get more of these!

Chop, Chop
I'm not the fastest Amazon Vine reviewer simply because I put the products I order through an extensive testing period. I have been slicing and dicing on this board for almost 2 months now, and can highly recommend it for your kitchen.

The slightly raised edges of adjoining sides yield to a sloped funnel-like opening for guiding the food onto plates or into pans without a mess or fuss. The flush profile of the opposite rubberized sides allow for a flat cutting surface while also offering easy gripping of this lightweight platter when transferring the prepared food to other containers.

It's a sensible and versatile design. Cut veggies like tomatoes can be held in place by the raised sides while the funnel opening drains off the juices and seeds.

The board is dishwasher safe and mine has withstood dozens of hand and machine washings while retaining is milky white surface. A stained cutting board is disgusting, but I was impressed by the clean surface...

The cutting edge
So much satisfaction from a cutting board: aesthetically pleasing, light-weight, and well-designed with two of four edges curled in order to direct that which one has chopped or minced into the pan and not onto the floor. It doesn't slide on the counter, and those same up-turned edges keep onion shards from flying across the counter. I can easily lift board plus contents with the (unfortunately arthritic) left hand without wavering, allowing smooth transport across the kitchen to the stove-top.

Good Grips indeed, highly recommended.
