Comfortable and sharp snips by OXO
I am a huge OXO fan. Their products are all well-designed and user friendly. These snips are no exception. I use them to cut my lettuce (no I don't tear the leaves) that I buy in a bag directly in the salad bowl into more mouth-friendly pieces. The snips come apart for easy cleaning and are dishwasher safe. If you vere have a problem with an OXO product, their customer service is first class and they will replace everything. All you have to do is contact their customer service and the email them a picture of what is problematic and a replacement will be shipped to you. Their products are so well-designed that a few years ago they were featured in a display at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Design (a part of the Smithsonian) located in a magnificent mansion on Fifth Avenue near the Metropolitan Museum of ARt, in Manhattan, NY.
Nice Little Scissors for Light Garden Use
Here's a description of these scissors, as I see them:
* The cutting blades are 2 5/8 inches
* The opening of the grip in 2 3/4 inches
* The blades are sharp, bypass blades with pointed tips.
* The grip is soft and cushioned, with bendable outer edges.
* The scissors separate for cleaning.
I wanted these scissors for my garden cart as a supplement to my Felco F-2 Classic Manual Hand Pruner. I wouldn't use them for any type of serious pruning or woody plants; however, they are just right for snipping flowers, parsley, string and Velcro ties.
As light duty garden scissors they excel. The grip is large enough to allow use with garden gloves or by people with large fingers. The OXO Good Grips design is always nice for avoiding repetitive injury to hands, although I really don't know why you would want the outer edges of the grip to be flexible. Also, you can...
Awesome Shears!
I got these intending to use them in the kitchen. Never have enough of these handy. They are so sharp and so easy to hold that I am probably going to use them instead for my paper art. Lovely easy to grip handles are easy on my tired old hands and these things are so sharp they practically cut by themselves. All in all another good OXO product.
