Fabulous pan!
I needed a non-stick pan, mostly for eggs. Cannot have regular coated non-stick in the house because of the potential to kill our birds. This Ozeri pan is absolutely wonderful. Nothing sticks. It actually seems clean with a wipe of a paper towel, but I do wash it by hand.
The pan says to wipe with oil before using the first time, which I did. You aren't supposed to use it above a medium temperature, nor expose it to thermal shock. It says you don't have to use special utensils, but I am still using Teflon safe ones.
It's a good weight and transmits heat well. I just love it. It just stays on the stove all the time, and I use it a couple of times a day.
If my opinion of the pan changes over time, I will edit this review.
Awesome pan
We've had the pan for a few weeks now. Love it! Takes only a small amount of oil and nothing sticks to it. I've made pancakes, eggs, stir fry, fish & chicken. No problem! The 10" pan is a nice size for cooking everything. I never notice the handle getting hot like my stainless steel pans. Directions say to not heat the pan more than medium heat, but I don't turn it up higher than that anyway. Not sure what would happen to the pan if I did. I don't put it in the dishwasher either, just hand wipe clean. My only gripe is that the pan is a little heavy but that may just be my wrist (injured years ago). Other than that, we use this pan everyday!
Cooks good; but needs to be babied
I have been pleased with its nonstick properties so far. It also is a very attractive frying pan. Is heavier than most frying pans which I like. After ordering I found out that it should not be heated above medium heat. The instructions said this would not be a problem as it has superior heat transfer. I have not found this to be the case. It seems what you save in cleanup time is counterbalanced by what you lose in cooking time. I have cheaper nonstick pans that I feel free to use at high heat. I reckon they will not last as long but for the price perform better if cook time is included in the equation.
